Construction update 3
Hi folks, here´s another update on the construction of our hotel. We are pretty much on schedule, as you can see we´ll soon have a roof over our heads 
The war on midges
One of the biggest annoyances in Panama and most tropical countries are tiny mosquitoes going by the names sand flies, no-see-ums, midges, punkies and in Panama, chitras. Construction update
Our new building is growing at a steady pace. Foundations are almost finished, we will soon start pouring the floor. At this speed we will have the walls and the roof up in less than a month. Can´t wait for that. Pictures: Read more…
American party on May 27
After our successful pig roast, we will hold another party on Friday the 27th of May. Just like last time, it will be a American party (in other words bring your own food). We will provide unlimited drinking for $10,- per person (Small drinkers can pay as they go.) Before I forget, there is a dress code: Outrageous.

Sometimes people ask me: why don´t you have a facebook profile? The fact of the matter is, I just hate facebook. It is a nihilistic alternative for a social live, a vulgar voyeuristic self esteem booster, and a liability to your privacy. And if that isn´t enough, watch the movie ´The social network´ about the founders of facebook. Even if 10% of it is true, would you trust a guy like Zuckerberg with your private information?
Life can be fulfilling without a facebook profile, and it saves me a lot of time not knowing what my friends did last weekend. So no, I will never have a facebook profile. Maybe one day, when I´m confined to a wheelchair and open source alternatives have driven facebook out of existence.

Movie night Sunday April 17
This weeks movie will be the South African comedy The gods must be crazy. The movie contains naked bushmen in what by American standards would qualify as porn and child pornography. More intelligent viewers however will see a story about a ´primative´ tribe and its encounters with modern society.
